The Caribbean Council is a long-established international trade, investment and development organisation and consultancy. The company is focussed on supporting its membership and clients through private events, access to proprietary networks, and market information and publications and other services.  It supports increased trade and investment in the region and promotes a better understanding in Europe of the Caribbean and Central America.

The Caribbean Council is a controller of your personal data. We are committed to safeguarding and preserving the privacy of your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what happens to any Personal Data that you provide to us, how we collect and use it. It also outlines the security measures we employ to protect such data and your rights and choices with regard to access or use of such data.

In order to provide our membership and consultancy services, we collect a variety of Personal Data. This data is:

  • Processed on a lawful basis of legitimate interest and is secured and stored in a highly confidential database
  • Typically, full name, job title, company name and address, email address and phone number. It may also include notes about interest in the region and contact history.
  • Occasionally supported by other publicly available information gathered by sources such as LinkedIn, Google, Company website, Press and Periodicals. This is to support any information provided by you.

Information We Use and Process

The Personal Data that we collect is used to bring you information or provide you with our products and services.

The Personal Data that we store is used to provide the following:

  • Marketing (events, publications, news)
  • Customer Administration
  • Research and Development
  • Website enhancement

We do our utmost to ensure that reasonable steps are taken to make sure your data is accurate, complete, current and reliable for its intended use. Our internal procedures are designed with the intention of keeping all the Personal Data we collect and use. private and accurate.

Terms & Conditions for Caribbean Insight First-time Offer:

This special offer on Caribbean Insight Subscription is only available for first-time subscribers/users. The subscription is for one user only for the special price of: a) US$39 every 3 months by direct payment. or b) One single payment of US$115 for a year subscription. Up to 75% price reduction. 

Publication details: The Caribbean Insight is an international publication, available with digital access. It is normally published 23 times a year.  Your subscription is personal to you and is non-transferable. The Caribbean Insight is published exclusively by the Caribbean Council.

Subscription: This subscription entitles you to receive one copy of the Caribbean Insight delivered to your chosen email address for the duration of your subscription. 

Subscription period: Please note that the minimum subscription term applies to this offer, a 12-month subscription. Payment options are available, either one single payment or paid quarterly (every 3 months) by direct debit. Your commencement date will be the first available issue date following your order and payment. 

Price Guarantee: If you are paying for your subscription quarterly or annually, we guarantee that your payment will not increase within the first year (23 editions). After which period, we reserve the right to withdraw or change any subscription price. A notification of any change will be sent to you at least 30 days before your next payment due date by email. 

Renewal of subscription: We will remind you by email (to the email given to us by you) when your subscription is due to expire and invite you to renew your subscription. If you notify us that you choose to renew, you agree to abide by the terms specified as part of the renewal (including the price, which may have changed since your last payment). You are under no obligation to accept such invitations to renew.
