Senior Delegation of MPs and Senators from the Dominican Republic

On Tuesday 16th May, Members of the Caribbean Council met in Parliament with a senior delegation of MPs and Senators from the Dominican Republic.

We discussed tariff reductions coming into force thanks to our bilateral trade agreement, new DR laws to speed up customs and make FTZs and nearshoring more attractive; a law to encourage investment in the Haiti/DR border area; and the PPP investment opportunities in new projects in Pedernales including a new airport, cruise port and planned city at Cabo Rojo.

DR is one of the most stable and fastest growing economies in the Americas, and the largest in the independent Caribbean. Make sure to include it in your business plans!!!
