Roundtable with the British Ambassador to Panama

Panama Event Meet The Ambassador

Date: Wednesday 18 February 2026 at 10am

Central London

We are delighted to invite you to join us for a small roundtable meeting with the British Ambassador to Panama, HE Greg Houston

The event will take place from 10am-11.30am on Wednesday 18th February at our offices – 20 Old Bailey (5th Floor).

The IMF and World Bank both forecast Panama’s economy will grow by around 4% per cent in 2026 and 2027 after similar growth in 2025 – with little to no inflation. Panama is the fastest growing economy in Central America.

Excitingly, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) yesterday confirmed a financing programme exceeding US$1,000 million for Panama in 2026, encompassing both public and private sector operations.  Of this package, approximately US$405 million will be directed to government-led projects in water, sanitation, health, and public audit, supplemented by a US$300 million guarantee to mobilise private capital for water infrastructure in the provinces of Panama and Colón, and a further US$230 million guarantee for sanitation systems.
