The Caribbean Council is delighted to host a roundtable with Hon Dr Peter R Ramsaroop MP. This event will be held in London on Friday 29 May, arrive at 3.45pm for a 4pm start.
During the roundtable, attendees will have an opportunity to hear from Dr Ramsaroop MP, Chief Investment Officer in the Office of the President, and Head of Go-Invest, – Guyana’s agency for inward investment.
Dr Ramsaroop will speak about how the Government of Guyana is incentivising investment into key sectors of the economy including agriculture, tourism, ICT, mining, manufacturing and the wider services sector. He will talk about the latest forecasts for continued economic growth in the country and outline the Government’s plans to ensure forward economic diversification outside of the oil and gas sector and that local jobs and opportunities are created for local businesses.
He will also talk about how improved public services (health and education), transport and energy infrastructure, and access to housing are all key priorities for this Government to deliver.
Following Dr Ramsaroop’s presentation, there will be an opportunity for members to ask questions and for discussion.

Hon Dr Peter R Ramsaroop MP is a Guyanese entrepreneur, author, politician, and public servant. He currently serves as Guyana’s Chief Investment Officer under the Office of the President and as Head of the Guyana Office for Investment, where he leads efforts to attract foreign direct investment and support local content development. He was appointed to the role in October 2020 and has played a key part in Guyana’s investment promotion and economic development agenda.
He has also been recently elected as a Member of Parliament and brings a broadened perspective to national governance while continuing to champion Guyana’s economic development and strategic investment priorities.
