Member Roundtable with High Commissioner of Grenada to the UK, HE Rachér Croney

Members of the Caribbean Council had an engaging roundtable meeting with HE Rachér Croney to learn about the current economic and business environment in Grenada, had the policy priorities for the Grenadian Government which has been in place since June 2022.

In an excellent presentation, the High Commissioner focussed on the current successful economic performance of the Grenadian economy with GDP growth of nearly 4% forecast for 2024. Strong sectors in the economy are in tourism, construction, fisheries and the citizenship by investment programme. Tourism is the anchor of the economy and is rapidly returning to pre-COVID levels.

There is a priority focus for the Government in driving improvements in health and wellness – and several investment opportunities in this sector (eg. new retirement facilities and a teaching hospital); agribusiness and renewable energy are other areas of key interest.

Grenada has low crime rates, a stable economy, and an investor-friendly atmosphere. Those interested in Grenada can find out more about the country at:  Pure Investment | Investment Promotion Agency | GIDC (investingrenada.gd)
