Kimberly-Clark invests US$18m in Salvadoran plant

Personal care manufacturing company Kimberley-Clark is expanding the capacity of its manufacturing plant in Sitio del Niño, El Salvador for a reported investment of US$18m. The investment will go toward the construction of a 13,000sqm warehouse and technology update. The expansion will increase the plant’s production capacity by up to 30%. This takes total investment in the plant – which primarily serves Costa Rica, Guatemala, and the Central American region – over the last six years to over US$70m.
