Dr Dalano DaSouza is a finance professional, researcher and Lecturer in Economics at the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus. He holds a PhD Economic Development Policy, MSc Banking and Finance and BSc Economics and Management from the institution. Most of his research has focused on the English-speaking Caribbean and includes areas such as development policy, banking, finance and transportation. He produces the Caribbean Council’s leading fortnightly publication Caribbean Insight.

Dalano spent several years in private sector finance working in numerous senior roles before transitioning to academia. He is also a Caribbean podcaster and is one-half of the popular ‘A Lawyer & a Policy Analyst Walk into a Bar’ podcast which is available on 11 platforms globally. The podcast raises awareness about Caribbean economic, political, legal, and social issues.
