The Caribbean Council were pleased to host a recent event in London with the Cuba Initiative Members. A wonderful meeting to welcome the newly appointed Cuban Ambassador – H.E. Ismara Mercedes Vargas Walter.

The Ambassador-designate highlighted the historic ties between Cuba and the United Kingdom and expressed her willingness to contribute to the strengthening of political dialogue and cooperation in areas of mutual interest such as trade, education, culture, biotechnology and the environment.
