UK Business Mission to Guyana – November 2023

The Caribbean Council is pleased to announce an upcoming UK Business Mission to Guyana.

Our business missions offer delegates a highly productive and collaborative programme over 4 days, combining high-level government contact, networking with leading local businesses, and a targeted bespoke set of commercial meetings.

We are delighted to be partnering with the British Chamber of Commerce Guyana, the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) and the Department of Business and Trade to further expand the level and range of the engagement we can offer.

Following two successful missions to Guyana last year, this visit is greatly anticipated locally, and we will partner throughout to ensure extensive national press and social media coverage to promote the delegation, their objectives and highlight this influential trade and business platform.

The mission will give your company a fast-track introduction into this fast-growing market, allowing you to understand business opportunities, gain invaluable knowledge, develop an immediate network of local contacts, and engage with your target customers in-country.

Why join our Guyana Trade Mission in November 2023?

  • In 2023, Guyana is forecast to have GDP growth of 37%, the highest in the world.
  • Guyana is undergoing transformational change as a result of rapidly developing Oil and Gas sectors, including wider economic growth that has attracted interest and opportunities across all sectors.
  • Strong emerging markets in the energy sector, onshore services, petrochemical production, transportation, mining, agriculture, technology, and export.
  • Exciting developments and programmes of infrastructure and public works.
  • Due to a skills shortage, Guyana is actively seeking international expertise.
  • There are significant opportunities for UK supply chain related to upcoming projects and developing long-term partnerships. Guyana-UK trade at “all-time high” with £1.2B recorded for 2022.
