Meeting with Hon. Gaston Browne, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda

The Caribbean Council organised an exclusive meeting for its members with the Hon. Gaston Browne, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda.

The then newly elected Prime Minister had won his place during a historic landslide victory in the Antigua and Barbuda general election in May this year. The meeting provided our members with an opportunity  to meet the Prime Minister who set out his vision for delivering future economic growth via tourism and other sectors.  Some of the subjects covered during the event included:

  • Affordable housing and infrastructure 
  • Plans for Guiana Island
  • New hotel and resort development and diversification including Carnival
  • The future of financial services and gaming sectors in Antigua and Barbuda after the world economic crisis
