Guyana Oil & Gas Economic Summit

The Caribbean Council was pleased to attend the Guyana Oil & Gas Economic Summit in London during which expert panellists shared insights on the opportunities associated with Guyana’s emerging oil and gas sector, and discussed ways that Guyana might best harness the economic benefits of an established oil and gas industry.

Oil and gas operators, regulators, investors, tier 1 contractors, and service companies were in attendance at the event, held at Central Hall Westminster. The Caribbean Council’s Managing Director, Mr. Chris Bennett, presented on infrastructure developments in Guyana and on how with the advent of oil and gas should open up investment opportunities in as Government and businesses seek to offer citizens and businesses a higher quality of utilities, transport, public services and social care. He also discussed strategies for transitioning Guyana’s infrastructure to accommodate oil and gas exploration.
