Cuban trade delegation visit London

Cuba’s Deputy Foreign Trade Minister, Ileana Nuñez Mordoche, lead a high-level Cuban investment to Europe on 23 June to promote to European investors the opportunities that Cuba offers under the new Foreign Investment law and in the special development zone at Mariel.

The delegation, which involved a seven person group including the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment, Debora Rivas, and other senior Cuban sectoral representatives, visited the United Kingdom, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Germany and France.

In London and Glasgow the group met with over one hundred UK investors and the Vice Minister met with the UK Chairman of the Cuba Initiative, Lord Hutton, at a conference organised by the Cuba Initiative, and later with senior officials at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
