Barbados Bank Governor sees growth from 2015 on

According to Governor of the Central Bank of Barbados, Dr DeLisle Worrell, economic growth will return to Barbados in 2015 but the economy is not expected to grow significantly this year.

Speaking to journalists following the publication of the Bank’s quarterly economic briefing, he said that after five years of negative economic news, growth was again possible. While rates of less than 0.5% were likely this year, these will, he said, rise to 2% next year and 2.5% in 2016.
