5th Geothermal Congress for Latin America and the Caribbean

Date: July 17th – 18th, 2018

Venue: Hilton Reforma, Mexico City

The Caribbean Council is pleased to partner with New Energy Events for the 5th Geothermal Congress for Latin America and the Caribbean taking place on July 17-18 at the Hilton Reforma, Mexico City. This annual forum gathers key stakeholders to explore opportunities for the development of world-class geothermal projects in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Prices for solar and wind PPAs are smashing records region-wide. How is this impacting geothermal development? GEOLAC 2018 will tackle obstacles to development, promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and facilitate vital new meetings and relationships.

This event, the largest of its type in the region, will gather an A-List of regional government officials and international investors to explore opportunities for increased geothermal development across Latin America and the Caribbean.

As the geothermal market takes off in the region, come to GEOLAC 2018 and meet potential financing, development and investment partners.

Speakers include:

  • Antonio Barbalho – Practice Manager, Energy and Extractives Global Practice, Latin America and Caribbean, World Bank
  • Leonardo Beltrán Rodríguez, Deputy Secretary for Energy Planning and Transition, SENER
  • Christiaan Gischler, Lead Energy Specialist, Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)
